The sound of laughter, learning and lovable kids - it's what fills the heart of Madison Kimbrell, a L.E.A.P. Site Assistant for the Liberty Elementary School District (LESD).

“I do the before and after school program. I like hanging out with the kiddos, they all have different personalities and they keep my day going,” said Kimbrell.

But that's not all Madison does. In between her morning and afternoon responsibilities, she volunteers at Rainbow Valley Elementary School.

“I help with lunch duties. You know when the kids go in there, eat lunch, I tell them to sit down, or dismiss them. I make sure they’re not causing a ruckus,” said Kimbrell. It's something extremely appreciated by Rainbow Valley’s principal, Ryann Cagle.

“Madi is awesome because she's super reliable. She's always willing to help out when in need and she's great at interacting with the kids and building relationships and helping to hold them to a high standard,” said Cagle.

Madison hopes to soon become a paraprofessional in the schools or possibly even a teacher someday. But for now, she's happy with the great memories she gets to make with the kids. Being a longtime student-athlete herself as a soccer player, she hopes kids find their passion and pursue it. “Life advice… don't stop, keep going, even though it gets hard.”

Don't stop being you, Madison. You're the focus of this staff spotlight.
