Diana Carlos has many titles. At home, it's mom or nana, but at Liberty Elementary, she's simply a staple of the school, and education has long been her passion.

"I'm here for the kids. I've been working for schools for over 35 years. I retired, but then I just couldn't get enough and I came back," said Carlos.

Diana moved to Buckeye almost 20 years ago. As a Liberty parent, she started volunteering before becoming an employee more than 5 years ago.

"All of these kids who are here are like my kids," said Carlos, who also has three of her own, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild! She loves being the office manager at Liberty. That's her title, but she will do anything that's needed. A trait she says all of her co-workers have.

"We help each other here. That's the culture." When she's not at school, Diana loves to cook, do crafts, and spend time with her family. We are just glad she's part of the Liberty family.
