Fees
The Liberty School District believes that extracurricular activities are a very important part of the overall educational process. In order to help offset part of the cost of all extracurricular programs and to provide these opportunities equitably to all schools, the District has established a participation fee for all extracurricular programs. This fee will help offset part of the cost of activity trips, the sponsor addenda, uniforms, officials, and other items consistent with the extracurricular programs. Additionally, the fee will allow the extracurricular activities to benefit from the usage of extracurricular Tax Credit donations.
The amounts listed below are paid per activity. Additional program costs for things such as event entrance fees, costumes that students are allowed to keep, or special supplies may be charged depending on the activity.
● Extracurricular Athletics - $50.00 per student per activity
● Science Olympiad - $50.00
● Other Extracurricular Activities - $50.00
● Student Council, Yearbook, NJHS - $10.00
● Extracurricular Field Trips - $1.00 - $550.00
-
Other Fees may be charged per student to be determined based on the exact costs of costumes, supplies, entrance fees, transportation, etc.
Fee Assistance
In establishing the activity fee, the District does not wish to create any economic hardship on families. Parents or guardians may take advantage of the extracurricular fees tax credit option to help cover this fee. In addition, scholarship opportunities will be available for those unable to pay. Please see your child’s activity sponsor or contact your school front office for more details on either option.
