Liberty Elementary School District No. 25

The Vision of the Liberty Elementary School District is to inspire students to be lifelong learners and empower all students to reach their highest potential.

At Liberty, we’re proud of the vibrant community and rich history of agriculture and development that surrounds us. That’s why our schools offer focuses on agriscience, arts, communication, dual language immersion, leadership, International Baccalaureate programs and STEAM.

The more than 4,500 students in Liberty Elementary School District (LESD) get to choose their own paths. Our seven schools serve students in kindergarten through grade 8 and are tailored to serve students based on their interests.

Liberty is a careful steward of taxpayer money, winning multiple awards for fiscal responsibility, including the Government Finance Officers Association Award for Excellence in Financial Reporting. The most recent Arizona Auditor General report also gives LESD high marks for keeping administration costs low, and therefore putting more funding into our classrooms.

    Christina Smith

I love the challenge of meeting each child’s unique needs. It is so encouraging to come to a place every day having teammates and leaders that are there for one another each step of the way. Together, we prepare our students for daily success and build confidence so they can face the challenges of tomorrow. I am here because of the bonds that bring teachers together. I am here because of the kids I get to teach every day.

–Christina Smith, Freedom Elementary 4th Grade Teacher

    Paulina Botello

I teach because I strongly believe that any child can learn regardless of their socioeconomic status, trauma or negative life experiences if they have a good quality teacher.

–Paulina Botello, Las Brisas Academy 3rd Grade Teacher

    Luz Rodriguez

Here in Liberty, my career is in my hands. With our signature program, I have been able to match my personal skills and strengths with my passion for teaching. Here, we focus on innovative ways to help students succeed. Here we make learning accessible and equitable for all. I love coming to work each day, knowing I have the support of teachers next door. In Liberty, we share common values. Those values are why I’m here. Our students are why we’re here.

–Luz Rodriguez, Las Brisas Academy DLI Teacher

    Alisha Edner

I choose to teach because every student deserves a safe space to learn where their voice is heard. Teaching allows me to make a difference each day, and the smiles, laughs, and 'A-HA! Moments' are the greatest reward.

–Alisha Edner, Rainbow Valley 1st Grade Teacher

    Mrs. Youngker

I am an alumni of Rainbow Valley Elementary School as I was a student here K-8. I now teach 7th and 8th grade science. I've always had a passion for education and I strongly believe that every single person should learn something new every single day! I am honored to be in a position where I not only get to teach science, but also the importance of knowledge.

–Mrs. Youngker, Middle School Science Teacher

    Dave Bogart, Principal

Over the past 30 years, I have been a part of the growth and development of Liberty Elementary School District. Here, we take great pride in collaboration, innovation, and integrity. Here, we take care of each other. I love coming to work everyday, leading a school and serving a community that has grown as I have. Each day, teachers, support staff and administrators work together to cultivate curious and confident problem solvers prepared for the challenges of tomorrow. I am honored to work in a district that has community as its foundation. I am proud to be Liberty.
